It’s really good to write everything down I wished I had done the same God Bless you stay strong we are praying for you and all of humanity that has been attacked by evil that we have never known in our lifetime I can only imagine how the Jews must have felt when Hitler did the same evils We must not let us be silenced πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Memories. So hard.

I have wondered if it would be good to write that story for my kids

I saw in your last post that your grandfather fought on Guadalcanal.

My father in law was on the first ships to land, at 17.

A real warrior, he survived the combat there, numerous other Marine landings till the end of the war, then with the Army in Korea, Germany, and then with the Red Cross (file sealed) in Viet Nam.

At his services, (1998) the Army chaplain said he and the Honor Guard had never seen such a distinguished service record.

What do we do to deserve such men and women (your mom)?

Yes! My grandpa was a tail gunner. His plane was shot down over the ocean. He was the only survivor.

We are losing the freedom that they fought so hard to maintain.
