This piece truly resonates with me. When my mom died in 2010, as the result of a catastrophic vaccine injury, I was so busy trying to hold up my dad that I didn’t have time to think about how grief stricken and angry I was. I think having that focus on holding him up was probably a good thing and kept me from bursting with sadness.

What a beautiful post and tribute to your mom. I am in tears. It reminds me of how much my mom loved me. I miss my mother’s love…and I miss loving her, too. ❤️‍🩹

Kristi, your mom had the most beautiful smile. I, too, have lost someone to addiction and the pain is agonizing. Knowing that his pain is over is the only thing that gets me through. I also too, never lost hope until it was all over. I know that Steven is with God. As is my husband. Peace be with you❤️

The Lords timing is perfect and I know He did not allow your mom to suffer one second more than was needed.

She has an amazing testimony and she taught you how to grieve.

Thank you for sharing part of her (and your) testimony with us.

Rev 12:11

“And they overcame him (Satan) because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.”
