Dear Kristi, I really appreciated this post. I feel this way about the people whose video testimonies I transcribe. They are each unique, a whole wild universe unto himself or herself; we see but a glimpse.
It has been such a tribal/ herd mentality that sometimes one forgets about the individual. Everyone has been expected to be on one side or another, and their identity gets booked down to the side they choose.
A grain of sand on the beach. A drop of water in the ocean. We are one of many, of all. The path of life is predetermined. Our free will allows us to travel the path, or not. We cannot know what will happen on the path or where we will end up. We can only hope to make a positive impact.

Telling people’s stories is important work.
